Aunt Connie was a special part of my life. Not only did she dress with such style and class - she was a very talented seamstress. My carry on bag has always included a blanket with hand sewn fringes that Aunt Connie made for me over 40 years ago. It has kept me warm on a number of flights. (Especially - since airlines don’t provide blankets any longer)
I remember my role as the flower girl in their wedding - 55 years ago. It was truly a world class event!
Aunt Connie and Uncle Buddy (Thomas Kane) shared many memorable Thanksgiving celebrations at my home in Maryland. We did so until it was too hard for her to travel. She was not a big fan of turkey - so I always prepared her salmon. She loved salmon! She was very conscientious about nutrition and exercise - which may have been the key to her longevity.
Myself and my two sons, Kallan and Connor will really miss her. I am only comforted by knowing that she now joins my mom - Rose (Thomas Kane’s sister) in heaven.
