Obituary of Monica Lall Alli

Please share a memory of Monica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Monica Lall Alli, who left this world on May 21st 2026 at the age of 68 in Queens New, York. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and the heart of her family. Born on August 28th 1957 in Essequibo, Guyana. Monica Lall Alli was the beloved daughter of Doris Ragubeer and Harry Lall. She lived a life filled with love, compassion, generosity, faith and enormous strength. Monica had a way of making people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. Whether through her warm smile, her comforting words, or the simple things she did every day, she made a lasting impact on everyone who was lucky enough to know her. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and creating memories that will be treasured forever. She taught those around her the importance of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love. Monica Lall Alli found joy in life’s simple moments by spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking, listening to music (her favorite was Indian songs & Jim Reeves), going to church (she loved listening to her pastor preach) and holiday traditions. She touched the lives of many through her qualities and contributions. To her children and grandchildren, she was more than just a mother and grandmother — she was a source of guidance, comfort, and unwavering support. Her love was constant, steady, and selfless. Even in difficult times, she carried herself with grace and strength that inspired everyone around her. She is survived by her daughters, Rabena and Shaleeza, grandchildren Anzaleena, Jason, Athena, Ava and Liam, siblings Roland, Sharon, Patsy, Elroy and Leonard, aunt of Keisha, Vishal, Amit, Angela and many other nephews and nieces and additional loving relatives and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Though our hearts are broken and heavy we find comfort in the love she gave us, the lessons she taught us, the memories of her will remain with us eternally. Monica Lall Alli will be deeply missed, endlessly loved but never forgotten. A MOTHER'S LOVE A Mother's love is something that no one can explain, That great feeling of being a mother is what we were meant to be. That feeling does not come with a manual or degree, It was given to us naturally by GOD almighty. A Mother's love is endless, pure, rich & unconditional. It is made up of deep devotion, sacrifice, and pain. A Mother's love is true, It's all you need to get through. It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, A Mother's Love knows no end, To her child, she will constantly send, A LOVE like no other, A LOVE between a child and mother. Being a mother is life-changing, Her LOVE has a whole new meaning. She provides, nurtures, cares for, and protects. She strives to set a good example in what she does and what she says, Ups and downs, of course therell be. But a Mother's Love is stronger than these. She's there to wipe your tears and feel your pain, And there to celebrate your every win. A Mother's love is a precious gift, And a treasure deep within. Her love for you will NEVER fade and That's the promise she's made!
